🌸 The True Story of Padmashram Kedarnath 🌸
In 1917, the foundation of this sacred retreat was laid by Pandit Shri Kashinath Sharma and Raja Padam Singh of Bushahr State. After 12 years of devotion, in 1929, it was established as Padamkothi (now Padmashram)—one of Kedarnath's first and finest shelters for pilgrims. Today, this living heritage is nurtured by the descendants of both the Raja and the Purohits, ensuring the blessings endure.
Built with natural mountain rocks, cow-dung plastered wooden ceilings, and wooden floors, Padmashram is a vintage sanctuary that naturally warms the soul. This traditional Himalayan architecture offers a homely and devotional atmosphere, providing a safe, clean, and budget-friendly stay. Here, the warmth of wood and stone embraces the pilgrim, and every dawn begins with the grace of Mahadev.
